Washington DC -- Our capitol of the WORLD!!!  Washington DC suffers from an indentity crisis.  Half the city is deserted by 7:00pm every evening when workers go home to the suburbs of Virginia and Maryland.  This problem was obvious in their cultural presentations.  It was limited and varied little from one exhibit to the next.  What they did have was an exceptional musica program.  If you like singing, gospel, jazz, rock or even "beatnik" type poetry, Washginton DC stood proud and far ahead of the rest.  Their exhibit of large paintings of the various "sections" in DC done by the children of DC looked great!!!  Thanks to newly elected Mayor Anthony Williams, the City seems to have new life and energy.  LETS GO DC...
