Meet Ron Lindqvist Painter, Renaissance
Artist. I initially met Ron over six months ago and have realized he's
just a shy person. His website
is
very easy going, it's clean with very little graphics and even less text. His
art work though, is complex and full of texture. The paintings have
a genuine 3d look you can feel and almost touch.
Born 1956 in Malmo, Sweden, he came
and settled in America as a young person in 1962. What threw me off
is where Ron went to college, University of South Alabama. Wow, a
Swede in the southern part of the US. While at Southern Alabama,
Ron received his degree in 1980 in Fine Arts and Computer Science.
When you go to view Ron's website, you will notice such an understated
design you wonder how he does with his work. Well, another surprise,
Ron's collections naturally inlcude the USA, but you can add to that works
in Europe and Asia. As far as influences, Ron says, "biggest artistic influences besides Vincent, Picasso and Pollock, are all artists that pushed the envelope and gave other artists
new tools!"
