Dermot Finn was born in 1975.
Dermot has had attended a few college in his time. He went to
Ballyfermot Senior College, which was great. He then went to Dunlaoghaire
College of Art but then dropped out. He gave up all artistic aspirations for
a couple of years, working in a myriad of menial/crap jobs. The box
factory clinched it and he decided to go back to college. He eventually
went back to Ballyfermot for a year, which was again, great. He then got
into Ncad, which was brilliant. They eventually they gave him a degree
in fine art print in 2005. He specialised in both traditional print
techniques such as etching etc and also in digital art forms.
Dermot now lives and works in Dublin. Life, sex, death, illness,
neglect, murder and all of humanities follies have captured the artists
imagination over the past six years. Most of his work of late deals with the
darker sides of humanity.
