Water, which will screen at 8:30 PM, Friday, May 12 as part of the Maryland Film Festival 2006, won high praise in today's N Y Times: "Written and directed by Deepa Mehta, Water is an exquisite film about the institutionalized oppression of an entire class of women and the way patriarchal imperatives inform religious belief....
