John Grisham:
the brethren

The Brethren by John Grisham is perfect beach reading and the beach in fact is where I finished up this book. Several jailed inmates, who collectively go by the name Brethren, concoct a type of sex scheme to blackmail men out of money. These inmates snag a presidental contender in their trap and things start getting interesting. Undercover agents start tracking everyone concerned everywhere across the country. There are a couple dead bodies, people killed off by the feds of course, popping up at convenient times. In the end though everyone lives happily everyafter.

Sounds like something that could happen in today's political environment!
